Joe is a hard working man; he runs his own florist shop and living a happy life in America. He suffers from headaches and goes to see his doctor. Unfortunately, he gets the news he has a brain tumor. Joe meets Hush and wins lots of money on the horse. Finally the film was very famous all over the world on TV or DVD.
The plot which I have given for this film may seem a lot but this really all does happen within the first half hour of the film. I will admit that I am not really a fan of Billy Connelly but as it was only £1 in my local, more so as it is classed as a comedy. The role of Hush was played by Sharon Stone and again she was very good, the one problem which I had with her was the accent. I would not personally class this as a hilarious comedy, like what is claimed on the back of the northern exposure case but more of a dark comedy as it deals with the subject of death and gambling. The sets and props were very good and this film was shot on location as there were no badly added backdrops. It was a nice and fitting ending for a lovely film. The northern exposure dvd which I have does not have any bonus features. I found this to be a good length with the story moving at a good steady pace. I think this is very appropriate. I paid just £1 for my DVD and thought this was a complete bargain. There is a good mix of humor and emotional scenes which will keep all entertained
